FCCJ Volleyball – Assistant Coaches

 

 

First Assistant Coach: Jose Rivera                                 

 

Jose begins his sixth year as assistant coach at FCCJ this season brings with him with an extensive resume of coaching experience. He served as a Division I Assistant Coach at Mississippi State and Head Coach at Jacksonville State for several years. Jose has also directed his own junior club program, served as a coach for the 2002 Florida High Performance Team and as a Head Coach for the White Sands Volleyball Club. Since moving to Jacksonville Jose has served as a coach for the Jacksonville Junior Volleyball Association National Teams Program and now serves as the Regional Teams Director.  He is also a member of the Regional Teaching Cadre for the USAV and is currently working on his CAP III coaching certification through USA Volleyball. Jose played collegiate baseball in Livingston, Alabama and gained valuable volleyball playing experience in his native Puerto Rico. He now teaches full time at John E. Ford and is married to wife Leanna. The FCCJ program is fortunate and honored to have such a qualified coach as Jose working on our staff.

 

Assistant Coach: Robert Manosca                            

 

Robert begins his fourth year with the FCCJ staff after a playing career at New Paltz College in New York and a coaching tenure for several years as the Head Men’s Coach at Lee-McRae College in North Carolina. Robert is an accomplished player and a highly successful coach. Robert has also coached in the Jacksonville Junior Volleyball Association and has extensive camp and league coaching experience. He recently opened his own Yoga studio in Atlantic Beach, Florida. We are fortunate to have  Robert on our coaching staff and look forward to an exciting year with him.

 

Assistant Coach: Adis Imamovic

 

Adis joins the staff for the second year of FCCJ volleyball. He has been a great addition to the staff due to his extensive playing experience in Bosnia and Germany and his university coaching experiences at University of Northern Iowa and the University of North Florida where he served as the assistant coach. Adis is also the National Team Coordinator for the Jacksonville Junior Volleyball Association which consistently sends teams to the USAV Junior Olympics. We are  honored to have Adis assist with the team. 

 

Certified Trainer:  Michelle Duclos                                                                           

Michelle joined the FCCJ athletic department in the fall of 2009  to serve as the athletic trainer for our athletes through the services of Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute Department. Michelle has a lot of experience working with volleyball athletes and we are happy to have her with the team.
