Catalog Description
Prerequisite: OST 1100 or previous keyboarding experience. 

Computerized diagnostic tests will be used to identify weaknesses in keying speed and accuracy. Speed and accuracy studies will then be designed to build individual keyboarding skills. This course is designed for students who have previous keyboarding experience.

Attendance
Attendance is required for successful completion of this course.  Campus students are required to physically attend and participate in class.  On-line students are required to attend class in the form of participation in chat rooms [where applicable] and posting comments/questions to the bulletin board.

Materials Required
This course requires a textbook and keyboarding software (included with the textbook). The keyboarding software must be installed on your computer before you can begin class. See the Required Materials List
for this course.

Grades and Grading
Grading is based upon assessment reports generated by the software program. Your final grade is based upon your speed and accuracy for each timed writing, length, and your overall course grades.

All assignments are due on the date indicated on the class calendar. Late assignments will be accepted for one week after the due date except the final assignment, which is due no later than the last day of class indicated on the class calendar. 

No incomplete grades will be given. If you have a problem, do not wait until the last minute to contact me. You will find the drop and withdraw dates in the current college catalog.

Students not completing the class and not officially dropping or withdrawing from the class will receive an F for the course.
