How to Locate Work Experience Your Opportunity Legal_clear_dot.gif (49 bytes)

The success of a work experience is directly related to the degree to which the STUDENT assumes responsibility.  The student is expected to:

v     Locate a prospective business.  If a business cannot be found after considerable effort, the following resources may be able to assist:

§         The WorkSource Florida Coordinator

§         The instructor

§         The staff in the Career Development Centers

v     Negotiate the terms of the work agreement including, full-time or part-time, paid or unpaid (and amount), work hours.

v     Submit Co-op/Internship Application to instructor.

Selection of the particular student to fill a job is done by the employer, not by the College.  This means that jobs are not guaranteed.
